Tree growth animation + rigging (2023)
video shows branches unraveling at :59 To start, I welded a 6" tube onto its base aligned with a drilled hole that would hide the bolt fastened to the table. I designed an attachable prop to anchor the armature wire used for branch animations. |

Halloween costume (2022)
Last Halloween, I wanted to be the Harlequin Demon from Nightmare Before Christmas! This character is always my favorite because it is short and round with expressive animation! I fabricated the jaw carving it from foam and using paper mache to fit over my shoulders. For the fabric part of the costume, I used an old sweatshirt for the base and purchased fur for the sleeves which jammed up my industrial sewing machine twice! Cutting the green and orange scales by hand was not as fun as making the horns which are tapered socks stuffed with fluff and made posable with armature wire that fused into a crown and also my skull. I love this costume so much that I wore it while driving to work! not the easiest thing to do at 7am! |
